    Responsibilities

    The Senior Manager of Analytics & Medical Informatics with expertise in machine learning, artificial intelligence, statistical data analytics, and applications must have an excellent knowledge of advanced methods, and experience in applying those methods to a variety of applications.

     

    Additional Responsibilities Include:

    • Establish and implement end to end proof of concept for data analyses across functional areas
    • Create innovative methodologies for data
    • Build proof of concept systems
    • Establish strategic partnerships with technical leadership across functional areas
    • Presenting to senior leadership as well external audience
    • Demonstrates the ability to create new and different solutions that align to real work problems and opportunities
    • Proficiency in computer programming with excellent software development skills using state-of-the-art technologies and languages (C++, Java, R, Python, and other scripting languages)
    • Maintains patient level data to which the position may have access, directly or indirectly, in a confidential and secure manner consistent with ODH, Inc. policies and federal and state laws (i.e., HIPAA, SAMSA, state data destruction laws).
    • Undergoes training on HIPAA and other privacy regulations on at least an annual basis or upon any significant change in the law, as determined by the Privacy Officer or the Information Security Officer.  Incorporates learning from training into daily job functions.
    • Demonstrates the highest level of integrity in working with sensitive data or protected health information.  Upon becoming aware of a data incident or a suspected data breach, the person filling this position is expected to immediately report such incident to the Privacy Officer or Information Security Officer.
    • Maintains accurate and complete documentation regarding the creation, use, storage, or transmission of protected health information, as required by applicable laws.

    Qualifications

    Required

    • 3-5 years hands on experience in machine learning
    • Master’s Degree required and PhD strongly preferred in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field with focus on data analysis
    • Command of principles of machine learning, statistical analysis, data mining algorithms, and mathematical segmentation and modeling
    • Demonstrated ability to use knowledge of current techniques, and develop new methodologies
    • Demonstrated experience in applying Machine Learning to at least one of the areas: Cluster Analysis, Probabilistic Modeling, Structured Prediction, Neural Net, or Anomaly Detection.
    • Excellent software development skills, esp. in rapid prototyping
    • Established publication record
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Experience in machine learning on large size data using Spark and/or MapReduce preferred
    • Experience in health care data analytics preferred
    • Background in information security and privacy preferred
